Lost Landscapes Recreated

The Path To The Well. Marldon Late 19th Century

This image has been constructed mainly from  recent photographs, with reference to older ones where a building has been lost, and in the case of Clapp Cottage, a site visit to inspect itís ruin and the old and now overgrown path to the well which runs past it, with thanks to Mr Colin Egan.

The 1880 O/S map has once again been a useful reference source.

The foreground has been reconstructed by careful study of the lie of the land, and some artistís licence.
